STUDIO POLICY

PIANO EVERY DAY – STUDIO POLICY  (SKEDULIN APP Roll-out)
Revised April 16th, 2026

Welcome to Piano Every Day!   This policy has been updated to incorporate the SKEDULIN app, helping keep lessons running smoothly and making scheduling and communication as simple and clear as possible for everyone.

1) LESSON PLANS & RATES

Two lesson options are available:

STANDARD PLAN (Reserved Weekly Time)

  • 30 minutes: $40
  • 45 minutes: $60
  • 60 minutes: $85

FLEXIBLE PLAN (Book-As-You-Go)

  • 30 minutes: $45
  • 45 minutes: $70
  • 60 minutes: $90

2) SCHEDULING WITH SKEDULIN

SKEDULIN is the central place for:

  • Scheduling lessons
  • Canceling or rescheduling
  • Booking make-up lessons
  • Viewing available times

All students are required to use SKEDULIN for scheduling. This helps keep the calendar accurate and ensures fairness for all students.

3) PAYMENTS

Payments may be made:

  • Through SKEDULIN (via PayPal), or
  • Outside the app (Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check)

Lessons are considered confirmed only when they are both scheduled in SKEDULIN and payment has been received.

4) STANDARD PLAN (MONTHLY TUITION)

Students on the Standard Plan reserve a consistent weekly lesson time.

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month  Any exceptions must be arranged in advance and will be reflected in SKEDULIN.
  • Your lesson time is held just for you
  • Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance

The number of lessons in a month may vary slightly depending on the calendar. SKEDULIN will always reflect the correct number of scheduled lessons.

5) FLEXIBLE PLAN (INDIVIDUAL LESSONS)

The Flexible Plan is ideal for students who prefer occasional lessons.

  • Lessons are scheduled individually through SKEDULIN
  • Payment is required at the time of booking
  • Availability will vary week to week

6) CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so through SKEDULIN.

  • 24+ hours notice:
Lesson may be rescheduled for a $5 fee
  • Same-day cancellation:
Lesson may be rescheduled for a $10 fee
  • No-show:
Lesson is forfeited; make-up available for a $10 fee

Rescheduling fees are due when the lesson is rescheduled in the SKEDULIN app.

7) MAKE-UP LESSONS

Make-up lessons are offered as a courtesy and are based on availability.

  • Must be scheduled through SKEDULIN
  • Must be used within the same semester
  • Openings may come from cancellations or designated make-up times

If a make-up lesson is missed or canceled late, an additional rescheduling fee will apply.

8) TEACHER CANCELLATIONS

If I need to cancel, I will reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time or provide a full refund.

9) LATE PAYMENTS

To keep everything running smoothly, payments are expected on time.

  • STANDARD PLAN: Due on the 1st of each month
  • FLEXIBLE PLAN: Due at booking

A $5 late fee will be added if payment is not received on time.

If a balance remains unpaid, lesson scheduling may be paused, and reserved lesson times may be released until the account is up to date.

10) SCHEDULING GUIDELINES

SKEDULIN is the home base for all lesson scheduling.

  • All lessons must be scheduled and managed through SKEDULIN
  • Texts and emails are always welcome for communication, but do not reserve lesson times

Lessons not scheduled through SKEDULIN cannot be guaranteed and may not be eligible for rescheduling or make-ups.

11) WITHDRAWAL

If you plan to discontinue lessons, please:

  • Finish out the current month (Standard Plan), and
  • Send a quick message through SKEDULIN, email, or text

12) HOLIDAYS & BREAKS

Lessons will still take place on:
Labor Day, Columbus Day, Memorial Day, Halloween, Election Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Presidents’ Day

Lessons will not take place during:
Thanksgiving Week

Additional breaks will be posted in SKEDULIN.

13) TUITION ADJUSTMENTS

Tuition may be adjusted periodically (typically by semester) to reflect changes in costs.

14) COMMUNICATION

Please check SKEDULIN and email regularly for updates, scheduling changes, and studio news.

15) AGREEMENT

Enrollment in lessons indicates agreement with this studio policy and the use of SKEDULIN for scheduling.

Thank you for being part of Piano Every Day—I look forward to making music together!

OnLINE Lessons

Helpful hints for online lessons: 1) Keep your camera steady with a side view of the keys. Some people prop up the cameras in clever ways using shoes, or stands made of Legos!   2) Position the camera slightly higher than the student's head so that the keys and the student's hands are visible from above.   3) Call Mrs. Farrell on FaceTime (678-836-6087) or Skype (natalefarrell2016).   4) Natale can organize Zoom meetings, too.  5) Have a pencil nearby.   6) Use sticky tabs to mark the assigned Homework.   7) Have all the sheet music already printed out and in a binder for easy access.   8) Get a binder that can fold backward so it stands up easily on the piano. (Kroger sells the Avery Brand 1.5-inch rings.)   9) If a parent can be around for the first few lessons, that would be helpful.   10) Usually, only one person can talk and play at a time, so it's essential to listen carefully when the teacher is talking.  11) It's best to ensure the device used to call in doesn't have any other apps open, as this can slow down the internet. If the lesson gets disconnected, please call back.   12)  If using Zoom, put the setting to Original Sound. 13) MOST IMPORTANTLY: Any background sounds get amplified over to the teacher's device, making it impossible for the student and teacher to hear.  Please have other family members and dogs be quiet during lessons.

 SHEET MUSIC AND SUPPLIES

  • Most sheet music and books for the first two years will be available for FREE from my own, original sheet music.
  • Students should have a 3-ring binder to store sheet music.
  • Students preparing for the ABRSM piano exams will need to buy any materials needed  (https://www.abrsm.org/en-us)
