STUDIO POLICY

Piano Every Day Studio Policy Revised July 15th, 2026

Welcome

Welcome to Piano Every Day! Thank you for choosing to study piano with me. My goal is to provide a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment where students of all ages can develop musical skills and enjoy making music. The following policies help lessons run smoothly and ensure fairness for every student and family.

1. Enrollment & Acceptance

This Studio Policy is available on PianoEveryDay.com and within the SKEDULIN app and is provided before enrollment.

By enrolling in lessons, scheduling lessons, submitting payment, attending lessons, or continuing enrollment after this policy has been provided, the student and/or parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Studio Policy, including all policies regarding tuition, scheduling, cancellations, make-up lessons, safety, release of liability, medical emergency authorization, and future revisions.

Electronic acceptance through SKEDULIN or another registration system shall have the same force and effect as a handwritten signature.

2. Lesson Plans & Tuition

Standard Plan (Reserved Weekly Lesson Time)

Students enrolled in the Standard Plan reserve the same weekly lesson time throughout the semester.

Rates

  • 30 minutes – $40
  • 45 minutes – $60
  • 60 minutes – $85

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month unless another arrangement has been made in advance. The Late Payment fee is $5.

Tuition reserves your weekly lesson time and is based on enrollment rather than attendance. The number of lessons in a month may vary slightly depending on the calendar. SKEDULIN will always reflect the correct number of scheduled lessons.

Flexible Plan (Book-As-You-Go)

The Flexible Plan is designed for students who prefer occasional lessons.

Rates

  • 30 minutes – $45
  • 45 minutes – $70
  • 60 minutes – $90

Lessons are scheduled individually through SKEDULIN, and payment is due when booking. Availability varies from week to week.

3. Scheduling & SKEDULIN

SKEDULIN is the primary scheduling system for Piano Every Day.

All students are expected to use SKEDULIN to:

  • Schedule lessons
  • Cancel, skip, or reschedule lessons
  • Book make-up lessons
  • View available lesson times

Texts and emails are always welcome for communication, but they do not reserve lesson times.

For Flexible Plan students, a lesson booking is confirmed once it has been scheduled in SKEDULIN and payment has been received.

Payments may be made:

  • Through SKEDULIN using PayPal (3% processing fee should be added), or
  • Outside the app, using Zelle (pianonatale@gmail.com), Venmo @Natale-Farrell,  cash, or check.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Make-Up Lessons

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please do so through SKEDULIN.

Student Cancellations

24 or more hours' notice (24 hours before the Lesson)

  • Lessons may be rescheduled for a $5 rescheduling fee.

Same-day cancellation (Within 24 hours of the Lesson)

  • Lessons may be rescheduled for a $10 rescheduling fee.

No-show

  • The lesson is forfeited. A make-up lesson may be scheduled for a $10 rescheduling fee.

Rescheduling fees are due when the lesson is rescheduled in SKEDULIN.

Make-Up Lessons

Make-up lessons are offered as a courtesy and are subject to availability.

  • Must be scheduled through SKEDULIN.
  • Must be used during the current semester.
  • Openings may come from cancellations or designated make-up times.

If a scheduled make-up lesson is missed or canceled late, an additional rescheduling fee will apply.

Teacher Cancellations

If Natale must cancel a lesson, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule it at a mutually convenient time. If a suitable make-up lesson cannot be arranged, a credit or refund will be provided.

5. Studio Expectations

Arrival & Pick-Up

Students should arrive no earlier than five minutes before their scheduled lesson and should be picked up promptly afterward.

Piano Every Day does not provide supervision before or after scheduled lesson times without prior notification.

Illness

Students must have clipped fingernails and wash their hands when they arrive for lessons.

To help maintain a healthy learning environment, please do not attend lessons if the student has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or another contagious illness.

If a student becomes ill during a lesson, a parent or guardian may be contacted to arrange prompt pick-up.

If Piano Every Day must cancel lessons due to instructor illness, lessons will be rescheduled whenever possible.

Parking

Please park only in appropriate areas and avoid blocking driveways, sidewalks, mailboxes, neighboring property, or emergency access.

Parents are responsible for supervising children while entering and leaving the property.

Please do not run your motor while waiting for your child. Parents are welcome to come inside the house and wait.

Communication

Please check SKEDULIN and your email regularly for lesson reminders, scheduling updates, and studio announcements.

Withdrawal

Students wishing to discontinue lessons should complete the current month's tuition (Standard Plan) and notify Piano Every Day by text or email.

6. Safety & Liability

For more than 45 years, Piano Every Day has provided a safe, welcoming, and professional learning environment. Every reasonable effort is made to maintain a safe studio and property. However, accidents can occur.

Students and parents understand that participation in lessons and presence on the property involve ordinary risks, including slips, trips, falls, weather conditions, musical equipment, furniture, walkways, driveways, and other unforeseen accidents.

By attending lessons, students and parents voluntarily assume these ordinary risks.

Parents and students agree to:

  • Exercise reasonable care while on the property.
  • Supervise children not participating in lessons.
  • Inform the teacher of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect the student's safety.
  • Report any accident, injury, or safety concern occurring on the property.
  • Be responsible for personal belongings. Piano Every Day is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

To the fullest extent permitted by Georgia law, students and parents release and hold harmless Piano Every Day, its owner, instructors, and representatives from liability arising from the ordinary risks associated with attending lessons or being present on the property, except where liability results from gross negligence, reckless conduct, or willful misconduct.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, reasonable efforts will be made to contact a parent or guardian immediately.

If immediate medical attention is reasonably necessary and no emergency contact can be reached, Piano Every Day is authorized to contact emergency medical services (911) and cooperate with emergency responders until a parent or guardian assumes responsibility.

Parents remain responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

7. Photography & Video

From time to time, photographs or short video recordings may be taken during lessons, recitals, or studio events to celebrate student achievements or promote Piano Every Day.

Images may appear on the Piano Every Day website, social media pages, or in printed promotional materials unless a parent, legal guardian, or adult student submits a written request to decline permission.

Personally identifiable information will never be published.

8. General Policies

Lessons are held on most federal holidays unless otherwise announced. Thanksgiving Week and other studio breaks will be posted in SKEDULIN.

Tuition rates may be adjusted periodically, typically between semesters.

Piano Every Day reserves the right to revise this Studio Policy at any time. Revised policies will be posted on PianoEveryDay.com and within SKEDULIN. Continued enrollment, scheduling, payment, or attendance after a revised policy has been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

The laws of the State of Georgia shall govern this Studio Policy.

If any provision of this policy is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

OnLINE Lessons

Helpful hints for online lessons: 1) Keep your camera steady with a side view of the keys. Some people prop up the cameras in clever ways using shoes, or stands made of Legos!   2) Position the camera slightly higher than the student's head so that the keys and the student's hands are visible from above.   3) Call Mrs. Farrell on FaceTime (678-836-6087) or Skype (natalefarrell2016).   4) Natale can organize Zoom meetings, too.  5) Have a pencil nearby.   6) Use sticky tabs to mark the assigned Homework.   7) Have all the sheet music already printed out and in a binder for easy access.   8) Get a binder that can fold backward so it stands up easily on the piano. (Kroger sells the Avery Brand 1.5-inch rings.)   9) If a parent can be around for the first few lessons, that would be helpful.   10) Usually, only one person can talk and play at a time, so it's essential to listen carefully when the teacher is talking.  11) It's best to ensure the device used to call in doesn't have any other apps open, as this can slow down the internet. If the lesson gets disconnected, please call back.   12)  If using Zoom, put the setting to Original Sound. 13) MOST IMPORTANTLY: Any background sounds get amplified over to the teacher's device, making it impossible for the student and teacher to hear.  Please have other family members and dogs be quiet during lessons.

 SHEET MUSIC AND SUPPLIES

  • Most sheet music and books for the first two years will be available for FREE from my own, original sheet music.
  • Students should have a 3-ring binder to store sheet music.
  • Students preparing for the ABRSM piano exams will need to buy any materials needed  (https://www.abrsm.org/en-us)
